PSIC opens demo center in The Hague

Mr. de bruijn explaning the value of PSIC

Selling is hard.  There is always a barrier between a sales person and a prospect.  That barrier is significantly higher when you are trying to sell to another country. Or 20 other countries. PSIC lowers that barrier and makes your relationship with a prospect comfortable.
PSIC does that by putting a customer in an environment with which they are familiar – in a model emergency center.  PSIC does that by showing the end-user, i.e. organizations that require solutions to public security issues, what they face every day – fires, floods, crime, terrorism.  And PSIC does that by NOT selling the “product” or “thing”.  Rather, in a comfortable setting PSIC demonstrates how to solve their problems.  We use companies’ technology to do so, but in the context of a total solution; as one piece of the solution puzzle.  We turn a prospect from the clenched jaw and crossed arms that greet your sales person into someone who opens up and asks questions.  They ask about technologies they see, in an environment that offers a solution to their problems.  And in the end, that makes the prospect comfortable enough to reach out to you because he or she has seen in PSIC that you are part of the solution.

Public Security Innovation Center (PSIC) is an initiative that supports and promotes the innovative use of commercial technology in public security. It is a test bed and demo center for public security related research and product technologies.

PSIC serves as the sales platform for innovative technology providers that develop public security solutions. Through membership participation in PSIC technology providers can have their products displayed and demonstrated in the PSIC model emergency center located in The Hague to prospect clients.
